Transport for NSW are planning to transform about 24 hectares of land around Central Station to revitalise Sydney’s southern CBD and as part of the NSW Governement’s “Tech Central” – a hub for technology and other companies.
DAND supported Transport for NSW with a full suite of services to raise awareness and invite feedback on their plans for Central Precinct Renewal, including:
Printing and letterboxing a flyer to 10,000 local businesses and residents
Information session equipment hire, transport, and set-up
Sticker wrapping the digital information kiosks and information centre shopfront
Doing station handouts to thousands of commuters, local workers and students.
The consultation period ran for about 4 weeks and the results were very strong for a project in its early stages of planning, with around 3,400 visits to the website and feedback from over 200 online surveys.
“With so many things competing for people’s attention these days, it can be hard to generate interest and awareness in a project – even exceptional ones like Central Precinct Renewal,’ said Oliver Young, Co-Founder of DAND. “We were proud of the work we did to help Transport for NSW get such a great result.”
